Abdul Gani is a child who was born prematurely and has cerebral palsy. He comes from a poor family, and in order to provide financial support for them, his father has gone to work in Malaysia. His mother provides good care for Abdul Gani, but when we first met she did not understand what she could do to support his development.
Our team has given Abdul Gani various types of therapy equipment, but our greater goal is to teach his mother how to facilitate his development through proper use of the equipment with developmental exercises. Since starting therapy a year ago, he has made excellent progress and his mother is hopeful he will one day be able to walk and talk.
