Mr. Gede was in a motorbike accident which broke his leg. Because Mr. Gede could not walk after surgery, the ALB Mobility Team provided him with a wheelchair.
Pak Jatiana lives up in the mountains where he and his wife worked as farmers. In 2015 he and his wife had a motorcycle accident resulting in Pak Jatiana having a neck injury and his wife breaking her leg.

In July 2016, he had a stroke affecting his left side. Almost a month after the stroke, Pak Dharma was still very weak and could only lie in bed.
In February 2017, Access Life Bali provided Barnabas a wheelchair and began to help him in his rehabilitation process by giving him exercises as well. Over the course of a year, he got stronger and was able to use the wheelchair to move within and out of the house.
Kadek Rina was very excited to receive a wheelchair from the Access Life Bali team. Now with the use of the wheelchair, she can move around the house more freely and has begun to learn to sweep and do other chores from the wheelchair.
When we met Nora in January 2018, she could walk a little bit, but had decreased strength, coordination, difficulty in speaking, and memory loss. We gave her a wheelchair to improve her mobility and safety around her house.
A container of 520 wheelchairs was shipped from China by Free Wheelchair Mission, and arrived in the port at Surabaya on August 17, 2017. Since then, due to several issues, we faced many obstacles in trying to import the container.
In September 2017, Access Life Bali gave her a wheelchair, which she immediately took to and started calling it her “motorcycle.”
